Centre for Optometric Education
The OAA[NSW] is the major continuing education provider in NSW for optometrists, providing continuing education opportunities through the Centre for Optometric Education (COE) for OAA[NSW] members and non-members alike. Services provided by the COE include a bi-monthly seminar series.
"Fee-Free" CE Event Guidelines
Admittance to seminars is free for full-time, partial, minimal and student members of the OAA[NSW]. Non-members wishing to attend are charged a fee of $55 each evening.

"Fee-Free" CE Event Rules
- Members registering after the closing date/time, and where a vacancy exists, pay a late booking fee of $55.00.
- Members who book to attend a CE event and then do not attend pay a penalty of $55.00. Medical and other reasonable excuses submitted in writing to the OAA[NSW] office will be accepted without penalty fee applying.
- Members who cancel before the closing date incur no penalty to do so.
- Members who cancel after the closing date incur a penalty fee of $55.00.
- Members who have not paid any outstanding penalty fee(s) are not eligible to register for another CE event until the outstanding fee(s) is paid.
- Members who have not paid any outstanding penalty fee(s) at the time of membership renewal to the OAA[NSW] cannot renew membership until the outstanding fee(s) is paid.
- Members are given a 'grace' period of half an hour for late arrival or early departure at CE events. After this time an adjustment of 2 points per hour is made.
- Members must bring their OAA[NSW] membership card to all events run by the Association for registration and to wear as ID during the event.
- Children are not permitted in the lecture room during presentations.
