JUL 08 NEWS: Children's Vision Screening Program
Members might recall that the Aussociation gave its support to the Premier's announcement of a vision screening program for pre-school children during the last election campaign.
Since that announcement, we have attempted to work with the government to make the program viable and valuable for those children who participate. I am saddened to say that, with the program now on the verge of commencement, we are still very unhappy with what is being proposed. By the time the next newsletter comes out we should have a final resolution, but it is not looking positive.
JUN 08 EVENTS: Skiing Anyone?
We are now taking registrations for the NSW Ski Conference being held the weekend of 22-24 August in Thredbo. Remember, we need good support from the profession if this event is to continue, and with excellent early snowfall, this is looking to be a great year to come along!
JUN 08 REMINDERS: Yellow Pages Sydney 2009
Please note the form for Yellow Pages Sydney 2009 went out with the June edition of Contact. The closing date has been extended until 6th June, 2008.
If we have not received your entries by this stage, you will not be entered. In the past we have been very lenient with the dates, but this year we are unable to allow any further extensions beyond 6th June.
